Out of 37 fishing boats seized throughout the Jatka conservation drive of District Activity Pressure in Padma-Meghna river in Chandpur, 29 boats have been auctioned. Additionally bought are eight anchors, eight batteries and a internet.
The public sale was performed within the presence of the convener and members of the committee shaped by the Deputy Commissioner to public sale the seized boats at Coast Guard Chandpur Station from morning to afternoon on Monday (Could 13).

Sadar Upazila Assistant Fisheries Officer. Mizanur Rahman stated that the district and upazila process drive 37 fishing boats have been seized within the jatka conservation marketing campaign. Out of this, 29 boats, eight anchors, eight batteries and one internet have been bought in open public sale. The public sale value of which is 12 lakh 9 thousand 400 taka. Amongst them, VAT is 90 thousand 705 taka and earnings tax deduction is 36 thousand 282 taka. A complete of 13 lakh 36 thousand 387 rupees is deposited within the authorities treasury in the present day.
He additional stated that the remainder of the impounded fishermen’s boats have been left within the open public sale with out telling the proper value. The convenor and members of the committee will promote the boats by open public sale on a later date.
