In February this year, Namibia’s Nicoll Lofty-Eaton scored the fastest century against Nepal in 33 balls. Estonia’s Shahil Chauhan has broken the record set by Nikol in a span of four months. He scored a century off 27 balls with 18 sixes.

Cyprus collected 191 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs scheduled in Episcopacy of Cyprus. Chasing a target of 192 runs, Estonia reached the target by losing 4 wickets in just 13 overs on Shahil Chauhan’s 41-ball unbeaten innings of 144 runs. Shahil scored the fastest century on his way to an innings of 144 runs. He surpassed all previous records for the fastest century by reaching the century off 27 balls.

Not only that, there were 18 sixes along with 6 fours in Shahil’s innings! Which is the record for the highest number of sixes in an innings in T20 cricket. Earlier, Hazratullah Zazai of Afghanistan hit 16 sixes against Ireland in Dehradun in 2019. New Zealand’s Finn Allen also hit 16 sixes in a match against Pakistan this year. This time Shahil hit 18 sixes in one innings.
