The court granted a three-day remand of 22 Rohingyas who escaped with weapons through the Ukhia border of Cox’s Bazar. The judge did not allow the remand of one because he was ill.
On Monday (February 12) afternoon, Senior Judicial Magistrate Srigyan Tanchangya remanded each of them for three days after the hearing.
They are the son of Kabir Ahmed of Camp No. 8 Balukhali, Ukhiya. Hossain Ahmad (30), Md. of the same camp. Son of Yunus. Rafiq (23), Abdur Razzak’s son Ayatollah (30), 9 camp Md. Rafiq’s son. Junaid (19), son of Noor Kalam of the same camp. Harun (23), son of Samser Alam. Kaiser (19), son of Rashid Ahmed. Saber (19), Abdullah’s son Osama (19) of Camp No. 10, Omar Farooq (19) son of Zafar Alam of the same camp, Md. Your son md. Sadek (19), Maqbul Ahmed’s son Haroon or Rashid (24), Hamid Hossain’s son Yasin Arafat (19), Dil Mohammad’s son Md. Ismail (19), Md. Hossain’s son. Rahim (19), son of Ata Ullah of Camp No. 11, Naju Molla (38), Md. of Camp No. 15. Syed’s son Syed Ullah (19), Dil Mohammad’s son Hafez Ahmed (19) of the same camp, Md. of camp number 20. Rashid’s son. Jobair (19), Abdullah (20), son of Yusuf of Camp No. 6 in Kutupalong area, Enamul Hasan (22), son of Abul Hasem of Camp No. 3 of the same area, Imam Hossain’s son of Camp No. 2, Md. Rafiq (24), Syedul Islam (24) son of Abul Kalam of the same camp and Md. of camp number 7. Jalil’s son. Armaan (21).

Inspector (Investigation) Nashir Uddin Majumdar of Ukhiyar police station, investigating officer of the case, said that 23 Rohingyas fled armed to Bangladesh through the Rahmat Bill border of Ukhiyar Thaingkhali on February 6 to save their lives in the ongoing conflict inside Myanmar. The locals arrested them and handed them over to the BGB. Later on February 9 Naib Subedar of Palangkhali BOP of 34 battalion of BGB. Shahidul Islam filed a case under Arms Act as a plaintiff and handed over 12 weapons to the police.
Inspector Nashir Uddin said that all the 23 Rohingya arrested are residents of Balukhali and Kutupalong camps in Ukhia. How did they leave the Rohingya camp in Myanmar and why are they armed? We will try to find out these secrets.
