22 companies received the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award of the Ministry of Industry. This award is given for contributing to the productivity of the country.
Industry Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun presented the award at the Foreign Service Academy Auditorium on Saturday (June 8) in the capital.
Industry Secretary Zakia Sultana and FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam were special guests on the occasion. National Productivity Organization (NPO) Director General Muhammad Mesbahul Alam was the president.
Awards in sub-sectors
Ecotex Ltd., Fakir Fashion Ltd. and Square Fashions Ltd. bagged the award in the readymade garments sub-sector of the large industry category.
Green Textiles Ltd., Four A Yarn Dyeing Ltd. and Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills Ltd. received the award in the textile category of large industry.
In the same category, Ispahani Tea Ltd. in the food and beverage sub-sector, Nuvista Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in the drug and chemical sector received the award.
Banga Building Materials Ltd., and Multiline Industries Ltd. won the awards in the steel, engineering and services sub-sector in the large industry category.
FGS Denim Wear Limited and Shanta Expressions Limited received the award in the ready-to-wear sub-sector.
Getwell Limited and Biopharma Limited in drugs and chemicals. Banga Plastics International Limited won the award in steel and engineering.
Shelltech Holdings Limited, Rangpur Foundry Limited and Adji Trims Limited received the award in the small scale industry category.
Moscow Dairy Enterprise won the award in the micro industry category sub-sector.
Rupakatha Fashion won the award in the cottage industry category and Keru & Company (Bangladesh) Ltd. in the state-owned industry category.
Besides, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has received an award this year in Trade Body/Trade Organization sub-sector as Institutional Appreciation Award.
