2024 will be the year of accelerated capital flows – 2024-02-14 01:10:13

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Pozitif Turkey, Erkan Kork, made assessments regarding the achievements of 2023 and the expectations of 2024.

Publika.az reports that 2023 will be an active year for Turkey.

He noted that as a bank we will continue to support the real sector and contribute to the growth of the Turkish economy in 2024:

“In the new period, confidence in the economy will increase with a decrease in the growth rate of inflation, an increase in demand for TL assets and a significant improvement in leading indicators. This may be a recent capital inflow. We will clearly see the impact of the steps taken in 2024. With the visits of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the Gulf capital changed its direction to Turkey. It will not be surprising if a serious outflow of capital from European countries begins in 2024. “European companies will continue their investments in Turkey through mergers and acquisitions.”

According to the data of BRSA, the assets of the Turkish banking sector reached 21.8 trillion TL, and the total loans of the sector reached 11 trillion TL. Bank Pozitif distinguishes itself positively from both sector and private banks. The bank, which has been able to provide more than 7.4 billion dollars in loans to the Turkish economy since its establishment, increased its assets to 1 billion 257 million TL in the third quarter of the year.
