The Indonesian rock climbing team has just started official training in Paris 2024 Olympics Saturday (3/8/2024). Unlike badminton and several other sports that have been competed, rock climbing will only start next week.
Indonesian rock climbing team held official training for the 2024 Paris Olympics at Le Bourget Climbing Venue, Paris, on Saturday, August 3, 2024. The four Indonesian athletes who will compete in this branch are Veddriq Leonardo, Rahmad Adi Mulyono, Rajiah Salsabillah, and Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi.
Coach Hendra Basir revealed that four speed athletes had tried out the climbing wall that would be used in the competition.
The athletes have adjusted to the weather conditions and the competition facilities, and are getting used to the food in the Olympic Village. The training they have been doing since arriving in Paris on July 28, 2024, has had a positive impact on their preparation.
The participation of the Indonesian rock climbing team is historic because it is the first time the speed event has been competed in the Olympics, and Indonesia immediately filled four full quotas. The athletes are optimistic that they can win gold medals in the competition that starts Monday, August 5, 2024.
