According to the explanation, the demotion to the Academic Council is a routine work of the university after the results of the various examinations recently held at BSMMU have been published. Academic Council was called on March 16 for that purpose. But a number of teachers and doctors opposed it due to the instigation of vested interest groups, especially those who in the past tried to influence various circles by destabilizing the university situation in order to occupy high positions of vice-chancellors and administration after the tenure of various vice-chancellors. In the face of their opposition, the routine academic council was suspended in order to maintain a normal environment in the university. No board was organized for job regularization on this day. During this time, university teachers, doctors, officials, third and fourth class employees met the vice chancellor. They said that their various demands would be implemented quickly. The Vice-Chancellor patiently listened to them and assured to implement the demands of all.
Regarding the recruitment, it is said that the two thousand recruitment on ad-hoc basis during the current vice-chancellor’s tenure in the published news is not correct. 1,300 temporary employees working in BSMMU for nearly 20 years were given jobs and regularized during the tenure of various Vice-Chancellors on humanitarian grounds. whose regularization process is ongoing. Among the remaining 700, many teachers and officials have been appointed and promoted through the recruitment circular. Meanwhile, the process of regularization of appointment of 184 doctors, officers and employees in super specialized hospital is going on. In the process of regularization of all jobs, a permanentization board consisting of university treasurer, vice-chancellor is constituted. All the regularization process is done on the recommendation of the Board as per rules. The information regarding financial involvement in this process is completely false and baseless.
