20 years in prison for subject who raped a young girl

“Formal investigation is ordered with the application of the detention provision against the 407 defendants… a period of investigation is authorized based on decree 803, in which the period of investigation would run in parallel, which will begin on February 9 of 2024 and will end on August 25, 2025,” said the judge.

Among those prosecuted, 84 will be tried in absentia. The alleged terrorists are prosecuted for illicit groups, aggravated extortion, rebellion, illicit trafficking, illicit arms trafficking, human trafficking, trafficking in weapons or explosives, acts of terrorism, aggravated homicides, deprivation of liberty, disappearance of persons, attempted homicide aggravated, and femicide.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the crimes were committed between 2012 and 2022. During this time, 29,416 aggravated homicides, 907 disappearances of people and 492 extortions were ordered. If found guilty, the minimum sentences they could receive range from 95 years in prison.

The FGR has extractions from phones that were seized from them, where there is a record of various crimes, as well as statements from qualified witnesses, so the subjects are expected to pay society for their crimes.
