16 thousand Artsakh citizens left Armenia. “People” – 2024-04-06 16:02:40

“Zhoghovurd” daily writes: “After the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 19, 2023, until now, 115,000 people have officially left Artsakh, of which 29,000 are children.

During these 30 years, every year, the Republic of Armenia has transferred millions of money to the state budget for the needs of Artsakh. At the end of the year, the amount of money was discussed, at the beginning of the year it was transferred to Artsakh.

In 2023, it was planned to transfer 144 billion AMD to Artsakh. About this in the National Assembly in 2023. Tigran Khachatryan, the former Minister of Economy, stated during the discussion of the state budget. If we add to this number, 144 billion drams, the 2 million dollars provided by Japan to the Armenians of Artsakh, which is equivalent to 820 million drams, we add the 11 million dollars provided by the United States, which is equivalent to 4 billion 716 million drams, as well as the 10.4 million transferred by the European Commission. 4 billion 506 million drams equivalent to the euro, 151 million drams equivalent to 350 thousand euros allocated by Latvia, 675 million drams equivalent to 1.5 million francs provided by Switzerland, 1 billion 25 million drams equivalent to 2.5 million dollars provided by Canada, will result in 155 billion 893 million drams.

This is not all. There were transfers again in February and March, and after the trilateral meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan, the EU and the USA, 270 million euros from the EU and 65 million dollars from the USA were transferred to Armenia.

The result of this financial flow to Armenia is not yet visible. Until today, almost one of Artsakh has not received any help from the state. Almost 16 thousand of those forcibly displaced from Artsakh left Armenia due to the indifference of the state.
Nothing is done at least to decently support the rest.
Let’s wait to see what kind of corruption scandals this money will be involved in.”
