Last April 6 was the birth anniversary of heroine Suchitra Sen. On this occasion, ‘Click’ is presenting the heroine to Bengalis in a new way. A bunch of Suchitra’s superhit movies are showing on the OTT platform from April 6 to April 21.

According to KLI ‘Click’ OTT, users will see 16 movies of Suchitra. They are – ‘Indrani’, ‘Ekt Raat’, ‘Agnipriksha’, ‘Dip Jhele Jai’, ‘Ora Hale Odhare’, ‘Pate Hal Deri’, ‘Sabar Uphea’, ‘Sagarika’, ‘Har Mana Har’, ‘ Bipasha’, ‘Shilpi’, ‘Sade 74’, ‘Jivantrisha’, ‘Nabraag’, ‘Sadanander Mela’ and ‘Dhuli’.
In this context Abhay Tantia, the leader of ‘Click’ OTT, said, “Click wants to match the old and the new. Not denying the past, but moving forward with it. So we bring the popular Evergreen Bangla movies along with the new web series to the new click platform. This dedication is our tribute to Suchitra Sen on her birth anniversary. Hopefully, the audience will enjoy the films of Mahanayika”.
Suchitra Sen made her debut on the silver screen in 1952 with the movie Shesh Kheer. However, he did not become Suchitra then. His name was Rama. However, the movie flopped. Then Taru played a supporting role in Mukherjee’s ‘Atom Bomb’. This movie was made in 1951 but released in 1954. Before that, in 1953, ‘Sade Chuattar’ was released. Suchitra became the pearl of Bengali eyes overnight.
Suchitra acted for the first time opposite Uttam Kumar in the movie ‘Sade Chuattar’. Their duo is a hit. The only name in the audience’s mouth was ‘Uttam-Suchitra’. The duo ruled Tollywood for the next 20 years. The popular movies of that time can be seen again on ‘Click’ OTT platform.
