The committee for the selection of judges met today (Thursday) at the office of the Minister of Justice in Jerusalem and decided on the appointments of 15 new judges to the labor courts.
Registrar Aviad Abergil, registrar Reut Begas, registrar Einat Lesri, attorney Ronit Segal, registrar Sima Kramer and Doctor of Laws Yosef Rahami, currently serving as a public representative (employees) in the National Labor Court, were appointed judges at the Tel Aviv Regional Labor Court.
Adv. Simcha Weiss, Adv. Moshe Willinger, Adv. Hani Tal-Primor and Reshmat Esther Shavor were appointed to the Jerusalem Regional Labor Court.
The Regional Labor Court in Beer Sheva was appointed Reut Eid-Bazini, Attorney Abigail Borovitz, Iman Nasraldin Attorney and Rinat Sinai-Aloush Attorney.
At the Nazareth Regional Labor Court (Nof HaGalil) a resemester was appointed from Merav Nir-Shelo.
Acting President of the Supreme Court, Judge Uzi Fogelman, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Yariv Levin congratulated all the selected candidates and wished them success.
The committee has not yet appointed another judge to the National Labor Court, with the candidates being Vice President Dori Spivak and Judge Kamal Abu Kaoud from the Regional Labor Court in Tel Aviv, Judge Yaakov Azoulai and Judge Yael Engelberg from the Regional Labor Court in Be’er Sheva. In the coming weeks, it is expected to convene once more for the purpose of electing the judge for the National Court.
After the election to the national court, it is expected that another standard will become vacant in one of the regional courts, since the candidates are all sitting judges.
