Fourteen people have been killed in a bus crash inside an expressway tunnel in China. Besides, 37 others were injured. The accident happened in the northern part of the country. This information was given in a report of state media CCTV.
According to a CCTV report citing local officials of Shaanxi province, the accident happened after 2:30 pm local time on Tuesday.
According to the report, there were 51 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. The bus hit the inner wall of the tunnel causing casualties.
Xinhua News Agency confirmed the casualties. However, detailed information about the physical condition of the people who survived the accident was not given. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
