12,479 domestic and foreign investors applied to Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) in 5 months to get investment related services. Out of which 95 percent i.e. 12 thousand 102 applications have been settled
Since 2019, 1 lakh 44 thousand 604 applications have been made by investors in Bidder One Stop Service or OSS. Out of which 98.7 percent has been settled by the organization. This information is known from Bida sources.
BIDA signed an agreement with Business Automation Limited on September 16, 2018 to provide all kinds of services online to domestic and foreign investors. In continuation of this, BIDA launched online based one stop service portal in February 2019. More than 150 services from various service providers can be provided through one stop service portal.
It is known that BIDA has signed MoUs with 48 organizations so far. Out of which 101 services of 41 organizations have been added to BIDA OSS. Bida is currently providing 124 services including Bida’s own 23 and 101 services of other organizations.
All the services of 30 organizations out of 41 organizations have already been integrated into BIDA OSS, while 22 services of the remaining 11 organizations will soon be integrated into BIDA OSS. Of the 48 MoU signatories, 7 have not yet added their services to the BIDA OSS, while 20 investment services are slated to be added.
Investors can apply for 124 services using only Bida OSS portal instead of 41 companies. You can apply online, upload documents, submit fees and receive approvals from anywhere in the world. Also, if the service is availed from the Bidder OSS portal, there is no need to re-upload the information and documents once submitted in the portal. As licenses, permits, permits, clearances issued through Bida OSS are stored in the portal, there is no scope for forgery in this case.
When asked, BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Mia said, Vietnam provides investment related services in 29 days, Indonesia in 48 days and 60 days, currently we are providing 124 services through BIDA OSS. We hope to add all investment services to Bida OSS within the next two to three months.
And Mr. Salman Fazlur Rahman, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Private Industry and Investment Affairs said that there is no opportunity to delay investment services for the development of the country, so all investment related services should be connected to BIDA OSS as soon as possible. So that the investors do not have to go to any other office or department for receiving services.
