JAKARTA – Alliance BRICS continues to make dedollarization efforts amidst rapid growth. A number of developing countries are interested in joining the bloc at a number of annual meetings.

In particular, there are 10 Muslim-majority countries that are reportedly interested in joining BRICS. Furthermore, these countries could be set to strengthen the geopolitical alliance. Thus, providing more assistance to the bloc’s efforts to realize a multipolar world.

Many countries have shown interest in joining BRICS. Citing Watcher Guru, there are 10 Muslim-majority countries that want to join BRICS.

Among the Muslim-majority countries seeking to join the bloc is Algeria. In particular, the country announced in November that it had formally applied to join the bloc, which was welcomed by Russia and China.

In addition, countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt have confirmed their intention to join the bloc. They join countries such as Bangladesh, which has also recently submitted an official application.
