Today, one of the newspapers spread untrue, groundless information about Viva-MTS through partner websites, which can be more accurately described as a rumor.

For now, we will not address the motivations for spreading such misinformation. Let’s look only at the points in the publication: taxes paid, activity results and communication quality.

Link quality has clear evaluation criteria and citing anonymous sources is not credible. The company considers it necessary to note that it continuously expands the mobile coverage and also strengthens the already operating main stations by introducing more advanced technologies. Thus, in the field of telecommunications in Armenia, 2023 was marked by the commercial introduction of the 5G network for the first time in the small center of Yerevan and Gyumri. Also, during 2023, Viva-MTS carried out large-scale re-equipment works aimed at upgrading the 4G/LTE network. By the end of 2023, Viva-MTS has built more than 170 base stations operating with 4G/4G+ technology throughout Armenia. As a result, 4G/4G+ coverage became available to 99.6% of the population. In 2023, Viva-MTS launched innovative VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling services on a commercial basis, which is used by half of the subscriber base that actively uses voice services.

The newspaper published misinformation regarding the difference in taxes paid by Viva-MTS in 2022 and 2023. Accordingly, the difference is not 300 million drams, as the newspaper stated, but 185 million drams. This is primarily due to the 1% reduction in the payroll income tax rate provided for in the 2023 legislation. VAT payments increased by 4% along with the growth of the organization’s revenues.

Terek, for some reason, also did not mention that Viva-MTS, which always ranks highest among all operators in the list of 1000 large taxpayers, also leads the list of operators this year, with the highest index, occupying the 13th position. In the published list, the nearest competitor mobile operator is 6 places lower, in 19th place, paying 3.3 billion drams less tax than Viva-MTS, while the other competitor is also falling, 13 places down, occupying the 26th place, paying 6.6 billion drams. less money Viva-MTS paid approximately 21% and 42% more tax than its competitors, respectively.

From the point of view of taxes paid year after year, Viva-MTS records stable dynamics, which is an evidence of steady growth of the company. We also urge you to use official sources from now on:

Viva-MTS employees receive a competitively high salary, and the amount of the annual performance bonus paid for 2023 was more than the amount of the bonus paid for 2022. This in itself is a telling fact about the effectiveness of the organization.
