Trucks and trailers with roof air conditioners are suffering at TÜVTÜRK inspection stations

Halil İbrahim Kızıltan, the Chairman of Niğde Drivers’ Association, stated that trucks and trailers with roof air conditioners are processed as having serious defects at TÜVTÜRK inspection stations and said that the practice causes victimization for vehicle owners.

Kızıltan said; “Due to the increasing air temperatures in recent years, the demand for roof air conditioning to be installed on commercial vehicles such as trucks and lorries has increased rapidly. However, we have started to receive complaints to our chamber that the vehicles that have this process done at TÜVTÜRK Inspection Stations are being processed as seriously defective.” Stating that they have held meetings with the inspection station authorities regarding the issue, Kızıltan stated that they will struggle to solve this problem experienced due to roof air conditioning.

Kızıltan said, “In our province and country, the installation of roof air conditioners on commercial vehicles such as trucks and lorries has increased greatly due to the hot weather. We are receiving complaints that vehicles with roof air conditioners are being treated as seriously defective by the TÜVTÜRK Inspection Station. I would like to state that as a result of the meetings held with the authorities of the Turkish Drivers Federation and the TÜVTÜRK Inspection Station, the necessary work has been initiated to eliminate this grievance in the coming days. We will be following up on this issue so that our drivers do not suffer.” – NİĞDE
