The White House is focused on the adoption of the aid package for Ukraine by the US Congress, there is no plan B, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said.

“We believe that we can and will provide assistance to Ukraine again. We must maintain our support, and that is the responsibility of all allies,” Sullivan said.

According to Sullivan, it is vital that the US Congress agrees to continue supporting Ukraine in the near future. According to his own statement, NATO does not see a direct threat against any NATO ally.

“This is a sovereign decision that a sovereign country should make, and obviously an elected leader should make his decision. Elections about who will occupy the highest ranks of the military leadership. I can only say that on the US side, we intend to continue supporting both the government of Ukraine and the Ukrainian military, but we will leave personnel decisions to the Ukrainians. It is not for us to decide from Washington or Brussels,” said Sullivan.
