Both The Information and MacRumors said that this new button is being tested for the iPhone 16 series, including both regular and Pro versions.
Apple is testing a new camera button on the iPhone 16 series, according to a report from The Information.
This button can be located on the bottom right of the device, under the index finger when taking photos and videos in landscape mode.
Rumors about the button have been floating around since September, and it was reported that it would combine both capacitive and mechanical touch features.
This button will help users control the ability to zoom or focus by swiping or lightly touching.
Both The Information and MacRumors say the button is being tested for the iPhone 16 series, including regular and Pro versions.
This will be the second new button on the iPhone in as many years, after the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max were equipped with a new Action button.
Although the Action button may also move to a capacitive button this year. However, Apple’s plans for the iPhone 16 could change before they are announced in September.
Previously, there was information about replacing the mechanical power and volume buttons with capacitive buttons, but this plan was canceled because it did not meet Apple’s standards.
