/ The Central Bank of Iraq’s sales from the hard currency auction for the US dollar during the month of January amounted to more than 4 billion dollars.

Agency correspondent said, “During January, during the days in which it opened its auction to buy and sell the US dollar, the Central Bank sold 4 billion and 95 million and 583 thousand and 404 dollars at a daily rate of 215 million and 557 thousand and 21 dollars.”

Our correspondent added; “External remittance sales during the past month amounted to 3 billion, 585 million, 641,446 thousand and 446 dollars, an increase of 91% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 331 million, 888 thousand dollars.”

Our correspondent indicated that these sales were distributed between transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, and between cash sales to banks, while the selling price of the amounts of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards reached 1,305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of the amounts of transfers abroad, as well as the cash selling price, reached 1,310 dinars. per dollar.
