Foreign news agencies report it A Russian court has sentenced Daria Trepova to 27 years in prison for sending a small statue with a bomb inside to the pro-war blogger Vladlen Tatarsky. You had previously held a seminar in St. Petersburg last April. She left him dead and dozens of others injured.
Ms Trepova, 26, admitted acting on orders from her Ukrainian contact. But she denied any intention to kill Tatarsky. She claims that she thought there was a listening device inside the statue and she was staged.
The attack on Mr Tatarsky, 40, whose real name is Maxim Fomin, took place on April 2, 2023 and Ms Trepova has been charged. “organized terrorism resulting in the intentional death of a person” and “illegal possession of explosives”
Russian investigators accuse Ukraine of being behind the incident. The Kiev government neither admitted nor denied the allegations, but Ms. Trepova proved that in court she carries out the orders of a Ukrainian man known as Gestalt, but does not know his true identity.
Trepova claimed in court that Goestalt had ordered her to befriend Mr Tatarsky. Introducing her to him as an art student named Anastasia Crivlina, she attended one of his speeches.
Later in March Gerstalt will send her a statue. as Trepova claims she expressed concern that there might be a bomb inside. Tor Gerstalt confirmed that there were only interceptors and trackers.
