PTMA Chancellor’s Forum Calls on 172 Muhammadiyah Campuses to Hold Action to Defend Palestine Tomorrow

JAKARTA – The Forum of Chancellors of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Universities (FR PTMA) called for all campuses Muhammadiyah holding a National Action to Defend Palestine and Condemn Israel on Tuesday, May 7 2024, tomorrow.

The call to hold this demonstration was conveyed by the General Chair of the Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Chancellors Forum (FR PTM) Gunawan Budiyanto and General Secretary Ma’mun Murod Al-Barbasy.

“We hereby convey that the Forum of Chancellors of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Universities (FR PTM) which oversees 172 Universities will hold a National Action to Defend Palestine and Condemn Israel simultaneously throughout Indonesia,” read a written statement, Monday (6 /5/2024).

The plan is for the action to be participated in by the entire academic community, from lecturers, students and education, to be held in their respective campuses and other strategic places. The action was held at 10.00 WIB until it was finished for all campuses in the WIB zone.

Meanwhile, for all campuses in the WITA zone, demonstrations were held at 11.00 WIB. Meanwhile, for all campuses in the WIT zone, the action will be held at 12.00 WIT until finished. “Attended by all students and the academic community. Free to share.”
