(CNN) — Comedian Pete Davidson is facing charges of reckless driving in connection with a car accident that occurred earlier this year in Beverly Hills, according to sources at CNN.
Greg Risling, deputy chief of media relations for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, confirmed that Davidson has been charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
Reckless Driving Allegations
“We have reason to believe that Mr. Davidson was engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately led to a serious collision at a residential property,” stated Risling. “Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. However, we are well aware of the devastating consequences that reckless driving can have.”
