Pape Gueye Set to Join Inter Miami

Pape Gueye, the Senegalese footballer who spent this season on loan at Real Zaragoza from Oostende, will be signing for the same team that recently acquired Leo Messi. Inter Miami is obligated to exercise the option to purchase Gueye, as announced by the Belgian club on its website when revealing the registrations and cancellations.

Last summer, thanks to the involvement of multiple parties, including Inter Miami whose owner is Jorge Mas, the president of the Mao club, Gueye ended up at La Romareda. In the event of Zaragoza’s promotion to the First Division, they were obliged to buy him for three million euros. However, since promotion was not achieved, the obligation now falls on Miami.

From Star Signing to Great Disappointment

Zaragoza no longer wishes to be associated with Pape Gueye, who has proven to be a major disappointment among their signings. From the very beginning, he displayed a low level of performance and failed to improve, becoming a subject of ridicule among the fans. He finished the season without scoring a single goal.

Although Gueye will be joining the same team as Messi, it is unlikely that they will play together, as Inter Miami intends to offload the Senegalese player this summer, who was not part of their plans either. Perhaps he will find his next destination in Belgium, where he left a positive impression, or in France.
