As a result of the February 1 trading sessions of the world’s largest commodity exchanges, the following oil prices were set.
The price of WTI (Light Sweet) oil on the New York NYMEX (New York Merchantile Exchange) decreased by 2.87% and amounted to 74.16 dollars. The price of Brent oil on the London IСE (InterContinental Exchange Futures) exchange decreased by 2.37% and made 79.13 dollars.
The unit of measurement for oil is the barrel. One barrel is 158.98 liters.
The New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is an American futures exchange founded in 1882 and ranks first in oil futures trading. Currently, trading continues on two exchange units: NYMEX tracks for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity and carbon dioxide emissions, and COMEX tracks for gold, silver, copper, aluminum.
The London Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is a London-based global financial futures and options exchange founded in 1982.
