New Publication Suggests Covid-19 Originated in Wuhan Laboratory

A new publication supports the theory that Covid-19 may have originated in laboratories. The publication suggests that scientists in Wuhan combined deadly pathogens, which coincided with the start of the pandemic. According to an article published in The Times, a group of Chinese scientists working with the Chinese army in the city of Wuhan were working on this combination prior to the pandemic.

Finding of the Publication

The publication alleges that the Wuhan laboratory was running a covert project of dangerous experiments that caused a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, giving rise to the Covid-19 outbreak. While no published information exists regarding this work, it is believed that the Chinese military financed it. The US researchers believe that the Chinese military was looking for biological weapons, which is why no scientific journal would publish information on the project.

Chinese Army Involved

The US researchers suggest that one of the reasons why no published information exists about the project is that it was a collaboration between Chinese military researchers. They believe that Chinese military researchers were financing the project to develop biological weapons and hence, carried out the work in a confidential framework.

Information revealed by the Publication

The revelation of the publication comes from reviewing hundreds of documents, including reports, memos, scientific articles. The documents were obtained through sources or by freedom of information activists, during the three years since the start of the pandemic. US State Department interviews with experts on China, emerging pandemic threats and biological warfare revealed additional information.

The US repeatedly stated that China’s collaboration was crucial to reach accurate conclusions which did not happen in this case.

Vaccine and Biological Weapon

The publication suggests that the investigations started out with a search for clues about the origins of the SARS virus in 2003. Research studies took place in China and even included some dangerous experiments with bats. The initial objective was to develop vaccines, but in 2016, researchers discovered a new type of coronavirus at a mine shaft in China’s Yunnan province. At this point, the Chinese authorities changed their policy and did not inform the world about the deaths. Subsequent investigations into vaccines led to a desire to develop biological weapons, given the viral potential discovered.

“That was exactly when the classified program started. We believe that the reason why Mojiang was covered up was because of the military secret related to the search. [del ejército] dual-use capabilities in virological bioweapons and vaccines,” says an unnamed US researcher in the report.
