Readings in the works of the Iraqi researcher Fadhel Al-Rubaie are present in a new publication edited and introduced by the Moroccan researcher Nabil Fazio, and issued by the “Maaref Forum” in Lebanon, entitled “Anthropology and Criticism of Historical Narratives.”

This book includes “research presented within the framework of the symposium organized by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities – Ben Msik at Hassan II University in Casablanca, on the works of the Iraqi thinker Fadhel Al-Rubai’i, on October 31, 2022.”

The collective book introduction says: “The celebration of Al-Rubaie took the form of an invitation to think about the questions and issues he thought about, which are distributed among multiple cognitive specializations, which belong, in one way or another, to the field of the history of religions.”

The new work continues: “In Al-Rubaie’s writings, the personalities of the researcher and the thinker coexist, and she thus presents a model for academic research armed with methodological rigor and critical vision, which devotes itself to thinking about the present and its burning questions, and engaging in extending Arab awareness with a critical vision to its most sensitive questions, with the aim of liberating it from the dominance of the narratives that besiege it.”

Therefore, the Moroccan University was interested in the works of Fadhel Al-Rabi’i, because his project is “an attempt to liberate Arab religious and historical awareness, which gives his research a relevance that reveals the extent of our need for it today.”
