The festival will start on Friday and Saturday, August 12 and 13 at Točník Castle, and the summer line will continue every following Friday and Saturday in eight different regions in Bohemia and Moravia. The stops will be Kunětická hora, Švihov, Rožmberk nad Vltavou, Veveří, Hradec nad Moravicí, Bouzov, and the festival will symbolically close its journey this year at the end of the holidays on August 30 and 31 in Bezděz.
The dramaturgy of the festival is exclusively focused on Czech and Slovak performers. The program is identical at all stops, with the exception of Veveří Castle, where the Čechomor band will perform as the only one. Fans of the festival will be able to see the bands Mig 21, Vypsaná fixa, UDG or Jelen across the Czech Republic, the punk scene will be represented by the Padlock, and the rock scene will be represented by Trautenberk, Horkýže Slíže or The Agony.
For the very first time at the Hrady CZ festival, new talents will perform, such as the indie-pop band Brixtn, the Fast Food Orchestra, the singer and producer Marcell, the Fiedlerski or Šumper band Byt number 4.
“Festival Hrady CZ is stellar dramaturgy in a beautiful environment of monuments. And this year, the group Lucie, whose performance we have been striving for for many years, will play here exclusively for the last time in the original line-up with David Koller. Lucie hardly even played at other music festivals during her era. We therefore consider the eight performances at this year’s Hrady to be a huge cultural event and it is an honor for us to participate in it,” agreed the organizers of the CZ Castles festival, Michal Šesták and Viktor Souček.
