MEXICO CITY (apro).- Elements of the Investigative Police (PDI) arrested Brian “N”, alias “El loco Brian”, alleged leader of a criminal cell that operates in the Morelos neighborhood, in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office. , and is dedicated to the crimes of extortion and drug distribution in neighborhoods in the same district.
The detainee is also related to the recruitment of young people, to whom he gives weapons and motorcycles to threaten and extort merchants of different lines, as reported by the office manager of the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX), Ulises. Lara Lopez.
And he explained that last Sunday, during the arrest, the police seized almost one kilogram and 255 doses of cocaine, 200 doses of marijuana, and 190 grams of crystal from the accused.
In a joint conference with Pablo Vázquez, Secretary of Citizen Security, Lara López said that, in addition, in the vehicle in which “Crazy Brian” was traveling, they found 12 cartridges and a mobile device.
He clarified that both the detainee and the insured were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the General Coordination of Investigation of High Impact Crimes, where the corresponding investigation folder was initiated, for the crime against health in the form of drug dealing.
The office manager shared that as a result of the investigations, it is known that the criminal cell allegedly led by Brian “N” maintains an alliance with members of a criminal group known as “Los Tanzanios”, who operate in the Iztapalapa and Iztacalco municipalities.
And he pointed out that the criminal cell, of which “Crazy Brian” is the alleged leader, operates by extorting, distributing drugs and collecting fees in the vicinity of the Doctores, Algarin, Buenos Aires and Centro neighborhoods.

For his part, Pablo Vázquez reported that between April 19 and 20 in the Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s office, 61 people were detained by elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) who implemented various simultaneous actions in 22 neighborhoods of said district. .
The above occurred, as reported, during the execution of an operation with 30 actions that were simultaneously deployed by the Undersecretary of Police Investigation and Intelligence and Police Operation, in coordination with the Cóndores group.
In the operation, the authorities executed 10 warrants and 26 flagrante detentions, after which they seized 1,132 doses of marijuana, 944 doses of powder cocaine, 295 doses of stone cocaine, 11 kilos of marijuana, 65 plastic bags with marijuana , a bag with 500 grams of marijuana, four bottles of the same plant, 11 wrappers for marijuana cigarettes, 53 doses and 14 glass bags, as well as 30 doses of methamphetamine.
The police chief added that they also rescued a spider monkey and seized four short weapons, 62 cartridges, seven telephones, 5,180 pesos, two vehicles, two motorcycles, a truck, 42 sheets with prints of 500 peso bills, seven cards plastic to falsify IDs, 500 sheets of paper money, auto parts.
And he specified that the coordinated actions were carried out in the colonies Vasco de Quiroga, Laguna de Ticomán, Palmatitla, El Olivo, Campestre Aragón, Martín Carrera, San Felipe de Jesús, La Purísima Ticomán, Mexican Composers, Mártires de Río Blanco, Candelaria Ticomán, Santa Rosa, Gertrudis Sánchez, San Juan de Aragón VII, Tlalpexco, La Pradera Second Section, La Malinche, Nueva Tenochtitlán, Cuautepec Barrio Alto, Constitución de la República, CTM Atzacoalco and Guadalupe Prioritaria.

Regarding the searches, the official explained that on April 19, in the Tlalpexco neighborhood, the uniformed officers completed a search warrant in which they arrested three people in possession of 10 kilos of marijuana and cash.
On April 20, during an investigation in the Nueva Tenochtitlán neighborhood, three people were arrested in possession of one kilogram and 200 doses of marijuana, 43 doses of crystal and 44 doses of cocaine.
In the CTM Atzacoalco neighborhood, they arrested a man and a woman related to a criminal group linked to the sale and printing of counterfeit bills and drug dealing, who were carrying 100 bags of cocaine, and 42 letter-size sheets with printing of 500 peso bills, packages of 500 sheets of paper currency, four counterfeit bills and a species of primate, which is kept in the facilities of the Animal Surveillance Brigade, for medical evaluation and later to be transferred to the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa).
The secretary added that those indicated were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry agent, who will define their legal situation.
