Juarez City.- Detectives from the State Public Security Secretariat and the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Attention to Women Victims of Crime for Gender and Family Reasons (FEM) have successfully apprehended two gang members believed to be involved in a femicide and a homicide. These tragic incidents took place in the southeast area of the city.

On the same day, using the Sentinel Platform, authorities were able to identify the vehicle used in the crimes, as well as the escape route and the possible hideout of the perpetrators.

Hours later, the diligent work of the SSPE Detectives led to the location and seizure of a stolen van from New Mexico, which was used to transport one of the victims to the crime scene.
Furthermore, the arrest of Lorenzo GG, a 28-year-old individual, was made. He was found in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine and had an active arrest warrant for drug trafficking. Lorenzo GG claimed to be a member of the “Artistas” gang, affiliated with the Sinaloa Cartel.
On June 20, another arrest was made. Jaziel Ephrain PC, a 24-year-old suspect, was found with a substantial quantity of marijuana. He also confessed to being a member of the “Artistas Asesinos” gang, associated with the Sinaloa Cartel.
Ongoing Investigation
During the early morning of June 21, a search was conducted, leading to the discovery of the crime scene where one of the victims was killed. Valuable information was obtained, which will be thoroughly analyzed to aid in the identification and apprehension of additional individuals involved in these heinous acts.
Both alleged perpetrators have been handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State Attorney General’s Office, where they will face charges related to the recent violent incidents.
