The Tenders and Auctions Board, which is responsible for monitoring government procurement and contracts, opened bids for 10 tenders for various public entities and companies in its session yesterday morning.
The total of the lowest bids opened by the Council at its session amounted to about 2.4 million dinars, as 51 companies competed to win the tenders presented.
In detail, the Council opened a number of tenders to the Ministry of Works, including the construction of a sewer network in the Sadad area, Block 1038 (Phase Four), where 8 companies competed, with National Excavating Est applying. WLL with the lowest bid was 1.29 million dinars.
The project includes building a new sewer network by digging trenches to serve 395 properties in three areas in Block 1038. These works include the construction of a main sewer line with a diameter of 200 mm with an approximate length of 3.8 km, and a number of branch lines with a diameter of 150 with an approximate length of 5 km. In addition to building 294 Type C inspection rooms, 203 Type E inspection rooms, 23 Type F inspection rooms, and one Type H inspection room.
The Electricity and Water Authority won a number of tenders, including concluding an agreement for electrical installations in water transmission stations, retrofitting devices to protect against breaker failure and overcurrent in transmission stations, appointing an internal audit company, and providing tests and analysis of insulating oils for power transmission transformers.
